This is a pewter pendant designed after the ancient Athenian decadrachm coin. This is the open wing version of the Athenian Owl, so popular for its wonderful imagery. The original open wing owl coin was from 466BC. This is a large and weighty charm . The pewter I use has a lovely “softness” about it, like worn silver. I have given the pendant an aged finish.
